the idea man

shorter mitch daniels: i don't like the senate's plan for spending indiana's share of the stimulus money. we should instead spend that money on [mumbles inaudibly].

furthermore, i think building a casino in downtown indy to fund the CIB is a terrible idea. there are much better options, such as [mumbles inaudibly].

Just more of that fearless, forward-looking, damn-the-torpedos leadership we Hoosiers are too backward to appreciate.

And added thanks, by the way, for tossing it to Mayor Gomer for some new ideas, which is like turning to David Broder for some fresh insights. If this is a city problem, why didn't you keep your little elfin mitts off it in the first place?

And while we're at it, it's the Indiana legislature that saddled us with the CIB. What say we just deed it back?
